Mad Catz Inc. and Comic-Con's Ultimate Gaming Experience at the Fleet

Mad Catz Incorporated, a San Diego-based technology company, is a world leader in the gaming industry. They create innovative gaming peripheral, publish video games and distribute third-party titles. With so much clout in the gaming industry  it's no wonder that Mad Catz is "all about the game," so much so that they invited San Diego Comic-Con attendees to their Ultimate Comic-Con Gaming Experience for free!

That's right, everyone who attended Comic-Con got to come to this fantastic gaming party hosted at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center (the Fleet). That meant free drinks, free gaming and a chance to experience the latest hardware by Mad Catz.

Gamers at the Ultimate Comic-Con Gaming Experience had total access to the Fleet's interactive exhibits, and they refreshed themselves with soft drinks and cocktails provided by our beverage partner BarWorks--a great way to recuperate from gaming fatigue.

From rearranging the Fleet's interactive exhibits to projecting top gaming titles onto the Heikoff Giant Dome Screen for gamers to play on, the Special Events Team at the Fleet made sure that the venue complemented the gaming theme perfectly.

The Fleet's Special Events Team takes a lot of pride in providing clients with an ultimate experience. There is virtually no event theme that the Fleet's Special Events Team cannot accommodate. Are you worried your event may not fit the Fleet's science ambiance? Well, the Special Events Team is up to the challenge. From video games exhibitions to weddings and sweet sixteen parties, the Fleet's atmosphere and Special Events Team will impress you and your guests.

Science on the Rocks Is a Hit!

The Fleet is always looking for innovative ways to encourage people to engage with science, and we have discovered the winning formula for an exciting night out. Science on the Rocks mixes food, science, and fun with a focus on some of our favorite indulgences. So far, we have explored the science behind chocolate, the art of beer and celebrated Pi Day—and Einstein’s birthday of course—with gourmet pizza and Pinot Noir. These three sold-out events have proven Science on the Rocks to be a hit. People love the combination of social interaction and hands-on learning while enjoying fantastic food and inspiring cocktails.

Science on the Rocks is an exciting way for you to experience science. Partygoers have participated in fun-filled events like designing their own chocolate, investigating physics through hula hooping, and competing in a Beer Goggle Challenge. You can also be the envy of your friends by showing off your remarkable taste in science and fashion by posing in front of our “step and repeat” wall. Yes, Science on the Rocks breaks out the red carpet for all its visitors.

Stop hypothesizing whether Science on the Rocks is a good fit for your evening plans, and start experimenting by purchasing your tickets for the next event scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2013.
