Cvent recently announced that the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center has been named one of the top places to host a holiday party in San Diego this year. As the holiday party season approaches, Cvent, which operates the number one marketplace for group meetings business in the world, developed this list to help those who plan these parties identify the top venues in their local area.

Fleet Science Center. “This honor validates the significant effort we put into making sure our facility, offerings and service are top notch for our clients during the holiday season, as well as year round.”

The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center has been hosting special events since its opening in 1973. The Fleet offers an ideal atmosphere for your next meeting or special event. Featuring eight unique hands-on galleries, the Fleet has more than 100 science exhibits and four spacious meeting rooms (for lectures, board meetings, presentations or luncheons) as well as the 314-seat Eugene Heikoff and Marilyn Jacobs Heikoff IMAX® Dome Theater. The theater is the world’s first IMAX Dome theater, and it offers a dramatic venue for everything from presentations to planetarium shows to private film screenings.

IMAX Remix

On July 12, IMAX^® held an invitation-only event during Comic-Con at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. IMAX Remix is a one-of-a-kind experience featuring iconic and unique IMAX movie scenes remixed to an electronic music interpretation, imagined and performed live by world-renowned DJ Glenn Morrison. After this unique screening, guests were treated to a first look at a highly-anticipated upcoming IMAX film.

These pictures demonstrate how both the inside and outside of our building can be transformed to create the perfect atmosphere for your event.

On Saturday, April 28, Dave and Vickie held their wedding at the Fleet. Over 200 guests watched them tie the knot near the Bea Evenson fountain and celebrated inside the science center.
